Cupping Massage Services
What is Cupping?
Using either glass or plastic cups, Cupping Massage uses a negative pressure (suction rather than pushing as in traditional massage) to help pull the layers of tissue up off of each other which in turn helps to release spasmed muscles and adhesions. It also helps to pull any stagnant by-products of inflammation out of the tissue into the interstitial space so your lymphatic system is able to filter and dispose of it allowing the healing process to work more optimally. Cups can also be placed on or along acupuncture/acupressure points on the body to help stimulate an under active gland or organ or slow down an over active gland or organ to help balance it out.
What is a 30 minute Detox Cupping Massage?
This treatment is great for the ultimate relax and re-set! Using Acupressure points cups are placed on either side of the spine which are connected via the nervous system to each of the organs within trunk of the body. The suction will re-set the organ, either stimulating an underactive one or slowing down an overactive one, allowing your body to relax and work more optimally.

Jade Stone Therapy Treatment:
Using hot and cold carved Jade stones in conjunction with deep tissue massage allows for a deeper heating and relaxation of the muscle tissue. One stroke with a hot jade stone is equivalent to seven strokes with a hand in a massage treatment.

What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient manual therapy technique originating 4000 years ago in Ancient Egypt. Through more modern research and therapy development it has been discovered that there are reflex points within the feet, hands, and ears which correspond to different areas, organs, and glands in the body and by working in these areas the body is stimulated to heal itself by bringing it back to a state of homeostasis or balance. Occasionally, due to many different factors such as illness, injury, stress, etc., blockages can occur in these areas of the body. By specifically targeting the reflex points a stimulus is sent via a nervous pathway to the affected area which helps to break down any blockages or toxins thus in turn allowing the area, organ, gland to work as they are supposed to.
Reflexology is used to treat many different conditions but is best known to help with relaxation and chronic stress. In our busy North American society many people are running on fumes having taxed their entire endocrine system, especially the adrenal glands, the gland which provides our body with adrenaline for energy. By taking the time to relax and help restore the endocrine system, clients are found to have more energy, are able to sleep better, and in general have a more positive outlook.
